Calle 13 has released a powerful new music video for their latest track "Multi_Viral".

The song, which is a collaboration between the Puerto Rican band and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, speaks about censorship, media manipulation, and more.

The video was filmed in the Palestine cities of Bethlehem and Beit SahourAccording to René Perez, or Residente, the video was filmed in the country because he understands that the nation represents many Middle Eastern countries living between war and abuse inflicted by their own or foreign governments.

The touching video tells the story of a group of Palestinian youth who, in the midst of violence, conspire to transform an AK-47 into a guitar.

Eduardo Cabra, aka Visitante, says, "It trips me out that the story revolves around music, because ultimately this is about converting a weapon into a musical instrument as a sign of peace. The climax is the guitar's instrument. It is the highlight of the video, it is a visual recap of everything the boy had to do inorder to have his guitar solo."

However, Cabra and Perez are doing more than releasing videos to reduce violence in the region. The frontmen are both part of Amnesty International's campaign "Basta de Balas" (Enough of Bullets), which aims to reduce gun violence. In September 2012, they were recognized as "Emissaries of Conscience"  for their committment to the well-being of youth in Latin America.

The song "Multi_Viral" is the first track from Calle 13's fifth studio album, which will be released on March 1, 2014.
