Mexican Men Go From Macho to Metrosexual

Plenty of Mexican men have discovered that being a man’s man and looking well put together do not have to be mutually exclusive. Estée Lauder’s Marc Latiere’s tells WWD that Mexican sales of top beauty products for men (including Biotherm, Clinique Skin Supplies for Men, Aramis Lab Series and Clarins Men) have increased 20 to 25 percent annually over the last five years. BDF Mexico’s Diego Ferrández went on to say that Mexico is a Latin American “forerunner” in the men’s market.

Wow! We think this is a step in the right direction. We’re all for men smelling good and practicing good grooming-as long as they don’t spend more time in the bathroom than we do.

i LOVE metro guys...they're not hairy, they smell GREAT, and of course have a great fashion sense. But sometimes i feel that they are all into themselves, and i still want a guy who's into ME...but i dont mind that they're looking sexy and showing off those HOT bodies with tight clothes! =) Ooooouuuush!

Hispanic men and women alike are both taking better care of themselves physically, and emotionally as well as financialy. That is why I tell people so that they don't make the same mistake friends of mine did, in real estate. Beware of were you spend your money in home purchases and business. There are towns were today minorities are not welcomed. Even in diversified New York http://www.uvm.edu/~jloewen/sundowntowns.php Take care of your money the same way you take care of yourself and your familly. Don't spend it in the wrong place.

This is obviously a trend in many different cultures, not just mexican. European men have long since been "metrosexual", but over there it's not refered to as "metrosexual" its just their way of life. I'm all for a guy taking care of himself and looking clean, but i still want him to be masculine. I cant stand it when you walk past a guy and choke on the cloud of colonge hanging over his head! bla!

its unfair to say mexican men are going metrosexual when really men of all races black latino white are doing this... i think its fine for a man to take care of themselves keeping themselves well groomed being fashion trendy or whatever but some take it to far men these days try to look better then women lol i know men who will take 2 hours to get ready to go out with friends or their girlfriends what is that about

It is a good thing that men are more conscious about their appearance, they figured out that we women can be just as critical of them as they are of us! lol! Over groomed appearance however screams arrogance btw!
