Let the Holiday Shopping Begin!

If you're a mami, and you're smart, then you're likely starting your holiday shopping right around now. I'm trying to save myself from having to spend any time at the mall on Christmas Eve this year (for once) and with two little ones underfoot, heading out to shop for any extended period of time is an adventure I'm just not ready to endure. So instead, I'm taking to the internet to source gifts for my favorite people. Since this is a blog about all things mami, over the next several weeks I'll be sharing some great finds for the special little ones in your life. I'm searching high and low to find gifts which will connect our children to their beautiful Latino culture. Hope this helps you with your holiday shopping!
It gets frustrating after awhile seeing all the cute alphabet t-shirts for little kids: "A is for apple, adorable, airplane." That's a little too vanilla for me, just plain boring. I'm always looking for something a little more creative and this "A is for Azucar" t-shirt from sweet mami-owned shop Little Poco does just the trick. It's a boutique created by a mami who got frustrated at the lack of clothing that reflects the "sabor of childhood" while pregnant with her twins and decided to create a children's collection to celebrate Latino life.
I can't mention Little Poco without pointing you towards these gorgeous, handmade China Poblana dresses (littlepoco.com, $32). I had one just like it when I was a kid. It brings back so many memories and i'ts one of those dresses I think every little Latina princess should own. And if you've got a prince in your life be sure to scope out their Guayaberas (littlepoco.com, $27). Your little man will be able to rock it from the playground to the party.
