Adriana de Moura: "My Fave Beauty Products & Makeup Trends for This Season"

Face moisturizer: The key to beautiful skin is moisture, so putting it on and applying it every day is essential, especially during the Winter when the weather is particularly dry.  The new and most powerful ingredients in skincare are now coming from plants which help repair, hydrate, and strengthen the skin. My new personal fave is Chanel’s Le Lift. A less expensive option is the L'Oreal New Age Perfect Glow Renewal Cream. Both are absolutely fantastic!

Hand cream: I wash my hands numerous times a day and most of us always expose our hands to the sun, causing them to be and appear relatively dry. In fact, if we did to our faces what we do to our hands, we would look like an old, dried-up prune! So my solution is to use an amazing hand cream after each wash. I love the French brand, Caudalie. Their newest product for the holidays is the Small Harvest Hand and Nails Cream Trio which was inspired by their vineyard in Bordeaux. These also make a handy gift… Pun intended!

Nail polish: After trending the nail art, nudes and neons of past seasons, the "it' nail color is classic red – particularly in nuances from garnet to plum. Flattering to most skin tones, they always add a sense of instant sophistication and sexiness to anyone, regardless of their age, size, or color – Not to mention one can also always do this even when on a budget! My favorite nail polish is Chanel’s Nail Lacquer in Taboo. It’s stunning!

Makeup

Red Lips:  Bold and feminine red lips are the signature look of this season, and have actually always been a favorite of mine because it immediately adds glamour and sophistication to anything you’re wearing. If you are leaving work and going straight to a holiday party with no time to do make-up, one can always simply add a dramatic red lipstick in order to make you look festive. My favorite brand is Fresh because they use more natural ingredients in their formulas, which I love!

Eyes: Time to sparkle! This time of year allows us with an opportunity to be more playful with the use of eye shadows that shimmer and maybe even have a touch of glitter.  I tend to look for anything metallic in gold, silver, copper, and even white. The most important thing to remember is to keep the look sophisticated by keeping the rest of the face fresh, and minimal.  My favorite brand is Jane Iredale, which has a sumptuous collection out for the holidays.
