Get This Hair!
By Angelique Serrano | 05/26/2010 - 12:00

I am absolutely loving this hairstyle right now! I actually remember wearing it in high school, as I was constantly trying to cute-up my pin straight hair. Camilla Belle makes the style newly covetable, and here’s how to get the look!

By Angelique Serrano | 05/24/2010 - 12:00

I have been thrilled to work with some amazing makeup artists and hairstylist over the years, and one of my favorite good-hair girls is Sarah Potempa. This stylist is not only amazing at creating drop-dead gorgeous editorial looks, but she’s also a real gal who knows how to talk to other real gals about doing real hair. And she’s just started her own website-slash-online magazine at sarahpotempa.com.

I Met Puss in Boots!
By Angelique Serrano | 05/17/2010 - 17:56

It's hard to say which of Antonio Banderas's swashbuckling characters is most memorable. To me, he will always be the sexy Zorro bandit, stealing away into the night with a corseted woman slung onto the back of his horse. Yummy. I have had the pleasure of meeting Señor Banderas a few times before (at industry events, claro, it’s not like I’m a fixture at his home in Spain, chatting with Melanie about how crazy it is that her breakout movie Working Girl was filmed over 20 years ago).

Travel Beauty Basics
By Angelique Serrano | 05/13/2010 - 12:00

I'm just going to say it: Most complimentary hotel shampoos and conditioners suck. Well, okay, if you’re staying somewhere ultra luxe and glamorous, I'm sure you get some pricy name brand bottles in the bathroom. But most of the times I use the free stuff and it feels like I’m washing my hair with liquid detergent.

Fresh Scents in Small Bottles
By Angelique Serrano | 05/10/2010 - 15:04

Fresh has some of the purest, most enchanting fragrances around. Their ingredients are concentrated, and often rare (hence the higher price points). That’s why we at Latina are absolutely giddy about their new Petite Parfums, a collection of plane-friendly one-ounce glass bottles of some of their popular scents. Not only can they move easily through Customs but the price ($32 each, fresh.com) makes them a much easier purchase.

Your Skin Looks Amazing! (How Much Did It Cost You?)
By Angelique Serrano | 05/06/2010 - 12:00

Recently I was told my face looked healthy, flushed and so well rested. This is a compliment I can't recall hearing in my whole life. (Usually I hear how tired, run-down and pale I look.) I suspected I knew what it was that prompted this comment, so the next day I tickled my cheeks with another helping of La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush in Peach Glow. I swear, I got two "You look pretty"-comments and one: "You look really good today." It has to be this blush—this incredibly blendable, easy-to-wear anti-aging cream with gorgeous color kick.

Eye Cream Worth Keeping
By Angelique Serrano | 05/04/2010 - 17:21

Eye creams confuse me. I know I need to use one, but I always forget to do it. Heavy eye treatments for night really turn me off because they leave my skin feeling greasy. They also leave a telltale stain on my pillow!

Why a Silk Pillowcase?
By Angelique Serrano | 04/29/2010 - 12:00

A friend of mine uses a satin pillowcase. Her boyfriend does, too. Did you know it's actually used to prevent the pulling, scratching and wrinkling of your skin? So it's a great anti-aging device. And it’s also great because the slippery material helps prevent hair from tangling and therefore breaking. A beautiful secret, indeed.

Makeup Artist Concealer
By Angelique Serrano | 04/27/2010 - 12:27

For the most part, having dark under-eye circles is a hereditary issue. But that doesn't mean we have to take it lying down! This three-step concealer is by far one of the best I have tried. If you have a few minutes to invest in the process, it will deliver professional results. Seriously.
