So here’s my peeve about makeup kits: I think most are filled with makeup shades that are not realistically flattering for everyday use. Most of them feature poppy eye colors—like mint green and fuchsia—that you probably wouldn’t sport to the office. And rarely are makeup kits full of makeup for every part of your face. So here’s what I wish: I wish for a palette that comes with an easy-to-wear lipstick and lipgloss, plus a warm cheek blush, a pretty highlighter for my brow bones and inner-eye corners, and soft, subtle eye shadows—oh, and I want all the applicator brushes I need to be in the kit, too! And I want it to fit in my purse. And I want it to not cost half my paycheck.
