Leave it to the bold NYC native, Mara Hoffman, to bring neon and spaghetti strapped maxi dresses to a fall runway collection! Hoffman, who is married to Miami native and artist Javier Piñón never disappoints with her fresh collections. The now-established designer got her big break when she was stopped by Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field on the streets of NYC for a chance outfit compliment! She’s one lucky chica!
Hoffman’s Fall 2013 collection took a bold direction, ignoring the massively popular black and white trend, bringing neons and bright prints to the runway instead! Bold geometric, floral and animal prints dominated her signature style with an added touch of sheer black pieces! A leopard print on a sheer knee-length ivory tank paired with black leather skinny pant was the second look to saunter its way down the runway and take its place in our top looks.
Joined by these looks and rounding out our top picks were a multi-colored zebra print peplum mini dress, knee-high silver toed tan boots, an orange, ice blue and black tiger floor length gown! It’s obvious that Latin and Southwestern style played a huge part in this collection not only in the prints but also in the cuts of the outerwear.
