Since forming in the mid-'80s, iconic Argentine band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs have wreaked havoc on stadiums all over the world thanks to their energetic performances and ability to seamlessly mesh musical influences (rock, reggae, ska) throughout the years. Their hits are plenty: “Mal Bicho,” ‘El Matador” and “Vasos Vacios” are timeless anthems that always elicit an emotional response in fans.
And while the Fab Cads are still going strong—they released El Arte de la Elegancia last year to critical praise—they’re not too cool for a little love in the form of a tribute album.
A Tribute to Los Fabulosos Cadillacs: Vos Sabes (out March 2nd; Nacional Records) features Colombia’s Aterciopelados, Tijuana’s Nortec Collective, Puerto Rico’s Cultural Profetica, Venezuela’s Los Amigos Invisibles and other Latin American musicians covering their favorite FC tracks. "These versions of our songs, recorded by other artists, are like warm embraces that great you with equal parts of emotion, surprise and happiness," has said bassist Señor Flavio.
