This is Rodriguez's third time being nominated for a Golden Globe in this category. In 2015, a newcomer to the TV space at the time, she took home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Comedy or Musical, beating out the likes of Lena Dunham (Girls), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), and Julia Louis Dreyfus (Veep).

We're rooting for you, mama!

Other Latinos up for Golden Globes this year include Lin-Manuel Miranda for his original song, "How Far I'll Go," in this year's Disney hit, Moana. And Gael Garcia Bernal is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy for his role in Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle.

Zootopia, which featured the voice talent of Shakira, is also up for Best Motion Picture — Animated.
