MORE: Aaron Hernandez's Alleged Suicide Note to His Fiancée Released

Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez recently sat down with Dr. Phil, where she broke her silence on the former NFL star's suicide. In the new promo for the interview, Jenkins-Hernandez tells the host she does not believe that her fiance's death was a suicide, as authorities ruled. According to the mother of Hernandez's only child, Avielle Janelle Hernandez, just hours before the Puerto Rican football player was found hanging in his cell, he told her and their daughter that “Daddy’s going to come home.”

"I felt like we were looking so bright," she added. "We were going up a ladder to a positive direction."

Jenkins-Hernandez also revealed that although his suicide note was a ‘note of love,’ she has some doubts about its authenticity. "I did see that it was addressed to Shay instead of you know babe or bae, the way he would refer me as - that was a little odd to me. But as far as the content, he seemed to be his loving self," Jenkins-Hernandez said.

When the host asked her if the handwriting on the suicide note belonged to Hernandez, she admitted, "[It] was similar, but I feel like, again, you have nothing but time in there so I feel like it's easily duplicated or could be."

Hernandez’s suicide came just five days after the former New England Patriots was acquitted of killing two men in 2012. The tight end was already serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

The two-part interview will air on The Dr. Phil Show on Monday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 16.
