10 Things You Didn't Know About Catalina Sandino Moreno

It was recently announced that Catalina Sandino Moreno will replace Rosario Dawson as the lead in the upcoming film Incarnate, a “micro-budget film” about an exorcist who meets his match in a 9-year-old boy under the influence of a demon.

We couldn’t be more excited that Moreno will be taking on the thrilling role! In case you haven't heard about the talented actress, here are 10 things you should know about the incredible Latina: 

She’s Colombian:
Moreno was born on April 19, 1981 in Bogotá, Colombia to a pathologist mother and cattle breeder/veterinarian father.

She started acting at a young age:
While in high school, she enrolled in the Ruben Di Pietro Theater Academy in Bogotá, and acted in several stage productions, including Acuerdo Para Cambiar De Casa, Laughing Wild, and The Dark Room.

She's college educated: 
After graduating from Saint George’s School in Bogotá, the colombiana studied advertising at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
