Chad Ochocinco has been released as the wide receiver for the New England Patriots. The Patriots released the player on Thursday, after a season where he saw little time on the field, reports Fox News Latino.
"I'm healthy n living life, I'll be fine," he tweeted. He then posted a pic of himself sitting on a suitcase at the airport, his thumb up as if he was hitchhiking. He also changed his twitter bio "UNEMPLOYED BLACK GUY."
This cut came after Ochocinco, 34, played 15 games in his only season wtih the Patriots. He started three and caught 15 passes for a total of 276 yards. He caught one pass in the Super Bowl as the Patriots lost 21-17 to the New York Giants.
His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he is the process of "guaging interest from potential teams."
Ochocinco and his (soon-to-be) wife Evelyn Lozada, star of Basketball Wives, are set to appear in the new spin-off, Ev and Ocho on VH1 in September.
