In a new interview conducted by Maria Elena Salinas for Univision's Aqui y Ahora, Charlie Sheen gets to the root of his, well, Latino roots and his relationship to Latino culture.

Sheen, who was born Carlos Irwin Estevez but changed his name to get ahead in the industry, doesn't shy from honesty when questioned about his identity. When asked whether he feels Latino, he responds, "not always, no. I’m not saying I don’t embrace it, but I don’t wake up feeling Latino… I’m a white guy in America, you know what I’m saying?"

Whatever you say, Charlie. Check out the full interview below and let us know: Do you decide your identity based on what you are or how you feel?
