George Lopez is stepping up to the plate for Prince's family.
The late singer's half-brother, Alfred Jackson, told ET that Lopez "has helped us out tremendously, and we're extremely grateful."
A private memorial service was held at Los Globos in Los Angeles where the actor confirmed that he did help the family but he wouldn't go into detail about how he helped them.
"I assisted the brothers that were in need at that particular moment," he said.
Lopez was in Ohio when he found out Prince had passed away. He was with Eddie Murphy's brother, Charlie Murphy, when the two found out about the singer's untimely passing.
"It wasn't an easy day or weekend," he admitted, noting that he eventually had Eddie Murphy's brother, Charlie Murphy, around to help him cope. "Thank God we have each other. We really kind of brought each other back up. It was tough news."
Prince's personal chef, Ray Roberts, spoke to the Associated Press about the 57-year-old struggling with consistent stomach pain and sore throats months before his death.
"I think he was just struggling with being sick a lot," Roberts said.
The singer's cause of death has yet to be revealed and the full toxicology report might take weeks to complete.
We are happy to see Lopez being there for Prince's family.
