Jennifer Lopez is really close to her daughter, Emme. According to Just Jared, the Boricua superstar got emotional when speaking about her daughter during a recent speech. At Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards, the 42-year-old singer/actress spoke about how her 3-year-old toddler pushes her.
“It’s the women. Through the ups and the not so ups, that’s the one thing that got me through,” Lopez said during her speech. “My daughter Emme inspires me to be a better human being.” Lopez is on the cover of Glamour’s December issue.
Despite her busy schedule, Lopez always makes time for Emme and her son, Emme's fraternal twin Max. Lopez gave birth to Max and Emme on Feb. 22, 2008 to now estranged husband, Puerto Rican salsero Marc Anthony.
Since she and Anthony announced plans to divorce this past summer, J.Lo’s name has been kept in the rumored romance mill; the star has been linked to hottie actor Bradley Cooper. Lopez has maintained that she would never comment on anything until she’s in a serious relationship again. “As a mom, and having children, right now they’re my first priority,” she said in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “So at the end of the day, it’s about them.”
According to Us Magazine, a teary J.Lo also gave a shout-out to her abuelita. “My grandmother, who taught me to cook and not be afraid to serve and be humble,” she said. “And to go out looking nice because people like that and then they respect you.”
As for the latest news in J.Lo's business ventures, Tr3s is reporting that truTV's South Beach Tow has been renewed for a second season. According to the website, the show backed by Lopez's Nuyorican Productions centers on a family-owned tow truck company on South Beach.
