Good morning chismosos! Grab your café and find out what we are buzzing about below:
- Jennifer Lopez's legal battle with her former driver Hakob Manoukian has reached an out-of-court settlement. A letter of the settlement was filed with Los Angeles Superior Court on February 8th, according to E!. This comes just two months after a California judge dismissed Lopez’s $20 million extortion counter-lawsuit filed against Manoukian.
The drama began when Manoukian, a driver J.Lo had since 2005, sued the “Dance Again” singer back in the spring for wrongful termination and breach of contract. J.Lo’s legal team decided to fight his case and filed a countersuit claiming that he demanded $2.8 million bonus or he would talk to the press about her personal secrets. Meanwhile, he claimed that he was never paid for “production pay” including, lunch breaks and overtime.
The details of their deal have not been disclosed. We are sure she ended up paying a hefty price to keep him shut! What do you think?
- Seems like Prince Royce also wants to end his drama with producer Sergio George. Back in October, the 23-year-old singer filed a lawsuit against his record label Top Stop Music and alleged that the company didn't have full rights to his music since he was not exclusively signed to them.
In addition, he filed a third party claim against producer and TSM President Sergio for "engaging in a public campaign of words seeking to undermine Royce's reputation in the Latin American community."
The singer's publicist Jennifer Nieman confirmed to People en Español that his legal dispute has been resolved, "in a friendly manner and Prince will have the opportunity to manage his career as a singer and composer." More money more problems! We are glad they resolved the issue.
