It's Over: Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Take Off Their Wedding Rings

It's officially over! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have both taken off their wedding rings.

According to PeopleCarey, 44, stepped out with her twin childrenMoroccan and Monroe, for a quick bite at a pizza joint in New York City on Tuesday evening. In place of her wedding ring, the diva wore her signature diamond butterfly ring instead. On Wednesday, Carey posted an Instagram shot with her daughter that clearly shows off her left hand. Again, she wore the butterfly ring instead of her wedding sparkler.

Nick Cannon, 33, also ditched the reminder of his once-happy marriage. The singer hosted Tuesday night's episode of America's Got Talent sans wedding band. As of last week's episode, Cannon still wore the ring to host the reality competition.

Last week, news broke that the couple were separating after six years of marriage. Cannon told The Insider that "there is trouble in paradise," and revealed that the two had been living in separate homes for several months. Reportedy, his comments violated an understanding between the couple. A source said that Cannon "apologized for speaking out about the divorce. He acknowledge that it was not cool."

According to insider information, a formal announcement about the separation will come from Carey's team in the weeks to come.
