Sara Ramirez is Latina's December/January Cover Girl!

Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez graces the cover of Latina magazine's "Reasons to Love Being Latina" double issue, which hits newsstands on November 13th.

In this wedding exclusive, the 37-year-old actress and singer opened up to us about her fairy-tale wedding to business analyst, Ryan Debolt, why she never thought she'd get married, and her favorite moment from her wedding! Plus, she dished on all things Grey's Anatomy and shared her advice for other Latinas who are currently planning their wedding.

On her wedding day: “We had a very intimate ceremony with friends and family and there was so much love in that space, I can’t even tell you. We were surrounded by people who had nothing but joy and love for us, really evolved, conscious love. And that is something that we were very clear about wanting."

On a wedding-day wish fulfilled: "I really wanted my feet in the sand and I got what I wanted!”

On her favorite wedding moment: “There’s nothing like the first kiss once you’ve been pronounced husband and wife. It’s such a wonderful moment!”

On why she never dreamed about her wedding as a little girl: “I had all kinds of fantasies, like a lot of girls, but did I actually go through the motions of planning a wedding and buying bridal magazines, and imagining things, and setting up who would play what role? No. Because as I grew up, I started to believe that I would be one of those gals that never got married.”

On falling in love With Debolt: “The connection was there very early on. Pretty much when I first met him we both knew something on some very kind of spiritual level."

On what it feels like to be married:"I have a very romantic outlook on life right now. I'm really happy and I'm focusing on the light and the love all around."

On her advice for other Latinas planning their wedding: “This is what I tell people—this day, this moment is about the two of you, no one else. And, if you make sure to surround yourself with people that are really clear about that, then it ends up flowing so beautifully.”

On her commitment to fighting for LGBT rights {with husband Debolt by her side}: "I’m always going to support the LGBT community and equal rights for the LGBT community. That’s going to be with me ‘till the day I die and beyond. I mean, that’s just what it is! And thank God I have a life partner who just wants nothing more than to stand by my side and support me in that. He's the most confident man I've ever met. He's amazing!

On how long she’ll stay on Grey's Anatomy: “I’m just focusing on being grateful and taking it in right now, because it could end any minute. And I just want to know that I was present for it when it happened, but that when it was over, it was ready to be over, and everybody had enough time to have their closure with it. So, if it goes years, it’ll be years. If it goes a year, it’ll be a year."
