How does one get over the loss of a child? You probably never do, no matter how much time has passed.

On June 10, 1996, one year after Selena was gunned-down at the young age of 23, her family, including mother Marcella Quintanilla, appeared on the popular Spanish-language talk show Cristina. In the footage, shared by a Selena Quintanilla fan page on Instagram, Marcella discusses what it's been like no longer having her daughter. "Selena always said that if something ever happened to one of us in the family to keep moving forward, and we're trying to do that," she said in Spanish, wiping away tears. "It's a bit hard, but we're trying."
