—Guillermo del Toro presented a new horror film starring Katie Holmes yesterday at the closing of the Los Angeles Film Festival, AOL Latino reports. According to the website, the Mexican director wrote and produced Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, about a young girl (Bailee Madison) who moves into a strange mansion with her father (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Holmes) and confronts evil creatures who feed on children. Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark will hit theatres nationwide on August 26.
—Mexican film director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu won the Grand Prix Award at Cannes Lion Film Festival of Creativity for directing Nike’s World Cup “Write the Future” campaign. The festival celebrates creativity in communications.

—The Black Eyed Peas will have their own video game, PerezHilton.com reports. According to the website, the video game publisher and developer Ubisoft recently announced the expansion of their ‘Experience’ franchise to include a video game completely dedicated to the group. The game, titled Experience, will feature hit songs and dance moves from the Black Eyed Peas. “It’s a perfect fit for us,” Fergie said. “The Black Eyed Peas are bringing the party to the people.”
