— Javier Bardem is in talks to take on the role as the starring villain in the second part of the Universal and Illumination franchise, Despicable Me. the big-screen baddy, named El Macho, has a son named Machito and will face off against Steve Carell and his trio of daughters in the second film.
— Cuban American actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher has a new sitcom pilot, Deadline reports. In the sitcom, the 32-year-old plays a woman who moves in with her husband’s family. The pitch sparked a bidding war between several networks but ABC eventually won.
— Maná has paired up with bachata star Prince Royce for a a new version of the song “El Verdadero Amor Perdona,” for the deluxe edition of its Drama y Luz album. It’s a great opportunity for 22-year-old Royce, who has already worked with reggaeton heavyweight Daddy Yankee and is currently on tour with Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull.

— Spain’s Duchess of Alba has married for the third time. The 85-year-old wed Alfonso Diez Carabantes, who is 24 years her junior! According to The Telegraph, the octogenarian said her children didn’t want her to get married. “But they change partners more often than I do,” the Duchess, one of Spain’s richest women, said.
