The internet has been abuzz with news about the apparent split between Christina Milian and her music producer hubby, The Dream, aka Terius Nash. A slew of incriminating photos of Nash hit the Web yesterday (showing him cavorting on the beach with his "assistant" of one year, Melissa Santiago) and prompted his camp to release a statement: "Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful...They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward."
The timing of the split seems a little suspect, given that Christina tweeted a supportive message about her man as recently as June 29th: "Everybody go pick up that LOVEKING album from THE- DREAM ASAP! Support my boo!" The couple married last September in Rome, Italy before holding a second wedding in December, 2009, which is, according to The Dream, right around the time they broke up. After the photos were released, Milian once again took to Twitter to address the rumors, sending her fans a cryptic message that read "Whatever you think… believe it."
The Dream and Milian are ending a whirlwind romance in which they met, married and had a baby in just 12 short months. Baby Violet was born on February 26, 2010 and, according to Nash, she's the reason the couple kept their break-up under wraps. "The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet," his reps claim.
Whatever the reason behind their break-up, we have faith that Milian and her adorable baby girl will pull through this crisis with class.
