I’m sure we’ve all dreamt about meeting our favorite celebrities and for some students in Miami this dream turned into an incredible reality.
Students at Miami Senior High School were in for an amazing surprise. Drake, the famous Canadian rapper, made his grand entrance by showing up on a firetruck to the delight of his many young fans. The artist was shooting the music video for his top-charting song “God’s Plan.”
In addition to gifting his fans with his appearance, Drake also donated $25,000 to the high school along with letting the students know that he would be supplying them with uniforms he designed himself.
However, the students at Miami Senior High were not the only ones who were in for a surprise. After his visit to the high school, Drake made his way to the University of Miami where he surprised a student with a $50,000 scholarship.

Destiny Paris James, the recipient of the scholarship, posted to Facebook, “This was the surprise the whole time. Drake told me that he has read great things about me and appreciates how hard I've worked through so many trials and decided to give me $50K for my tuition. Thank you so much! You don't understand what this means to me! I would've never imagined this happening to me."
Thanks to Drake for bringing some encouragement and fun to these students in Miami.
