Glanville, 43, and Cibrian, 42, share custody of two children: Mason and Jake. In a recent episode of Nik Richie Podcast, Glanville, the star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, said she asked Rimes to stop posting pictures of her children to social media.
"I have an issue with her posting pictures of my children on holidays," Glanville admitted. "If my ex-husband, if their dad isn't posting pictures, why is she [posting them] to the public?"
Rimes, 33, has posted pictures of the two boys, her stepchildren, to Instagram in the past. Glanville said these snapshots drove her to drink.
"Holidays are so hard for me as it is, when I don't have my kids," she explained. "Then I have the capacity to be able to go on the computer and look to see what they're fucking doing. I get that vodka out, or whatever it is. I'll break out three bottles of chardonnay, cry myself to sleep and look at what they're doing on Christmas. It's hell. It's Christmas, and that's my family."
Eddie Cibrian quickly came to his wife's defense. "It upsets me," Cibrian told People, adding that Glanville lied about asking Rimes to stop posting photos.
"She lies for the sake of publicity and she has to bring in my wife unfortunately for it to make headlines," he said. "It isn't fair. She never asked LeAnn to not post pictures of the kids during the holidays, ever. They don't even talk."
"She sees the kids as much as I do," he added. "She was with them for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And I miss my kids tremendously when they're not with me, but I don't ask her not to post pictures."
Rimes — who often hashtags her photos with #stepmom or #blendedfamily — has had a contentious relationship with her stepchildren's mother from the start. Cibrian and Rimes were both married to other people when they began an affair on the set of Northern Lights in 2009. The Cuban-American actor divorced Glanville in 2010, and married country singer Rimes in 2011.
