After filing for divorce from her husband Tony Parker on Wednesday, Eva Longoria told her best friend, Extra host Mario Lopez, that she decided to end her marriage after finding hundreds of inappropriate text messages from another woman on Parker’s phone.
Sports Illustrated writer Bryan Armen Graham revealed the identity of the woman today on his Twitter account to be Erin Barry, the wife of Tony’s former Spurs teammate, Brent Barry.
"Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that "former teammate" in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry," Graham tweeted at 10 a.m. this morning.
A few minutes later, he tweeted the following: "Don't have much else on Parker/Longoria affair. Source did mention Barry and wife are going through a divorce." Graham did not reveal his source.
Access Hollywood reporter Billy Bush actually contacted Erin for comment and tweeted: "We spoke to erin barry[sic]...Brent Barry's wife from San Antonio Spurs...she cried and said "No comment". #ahcom. TP was texting her."
Adding insult to injury, it's been reported that Eva and Tony have been close friends with the Barrys for a long time and even spent New Year's Eve together a couple of years ago at Longoria's restaurant, Beso in Los Angeles.
A source tells Eonline that while Tony did exchange inappropriate "naughty" texts with Erin, that's as far as it went. "There was no physical relationship," the source explained. "It was just texting."
While PerezHilton is reporting that "Tony is begging for forgiveness," from Eva, another source tells Eonline that is not the case. "He knows the texting went too far," the pal said. "He knows the marriage is over."
The source also confirms to Eonline that Tony cheated on her once before earlier in their marriage. But the source adds that that those are the only two times he's cheated, clarifying, "This is not a Tiger Woods situation."
Eva broke her silence about her divorce over Twitter on Wednesday. "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness," she wrote.
Longoria, who married Parker in 2007, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Her divorce petition cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Eva is seeking spousal support from Tony.
