On Saturday night, Naya Rivera was arrested in West Virginia and charged with domestic battery.
Although Rivera has not publically talked about the incident, the actress' husband is finally speaking out. Ryan Dorsey, who shares a son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, with the Glee alum, took to Twitter to address the "difficult time."
"This is a difficult time for everyone in the family especially for Naya and I. This isn't some reality show, this is our life, and I ask that everyone especially 'the media' please respect our privacy and treat us/the situation how you would want a loved one to be treated. Perhaps with kindness, respect, without judgment, and as negative a situation this is, with positivity and love. Thanks," Dorsey wrote, signing off with his initials.

The highly publicised arrest occurred after Rivera struck Dorsey in the head and lip while walking their two-year-old. The actor showed authorities a cellphone video of the attack. In a 911 call made by Dorsey, the actor can be heard saying, "My wife's out of control." According to the audio obtained by TMZ, the actress was "getting physical" with the father of her son.
The actress was released from police custody on Sunday on a $1000 bond.
