Ricky Martin is using his voice for yet another cause.
The singer and Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF went to Lebanon to meet with Syrian refugees, according to Billboard. Martin is using his voice and asking for a call to action in order to help the millions of children whose lives have drastically changed because of the crisis that started in Syria in 2011.
"I have met with children who have been forced to become the breadwinners for their families, and work up to 12 hours a day," he stated. "The world must make greater efforts to ensure that these children are protected from exploitation and receive access to safe environments where they can learn and achieve their independence."
Martin has been a Goodwill Ambassador for over 10 years and his focus is to advocate for children's rights. He does this through UNICEF and the Ricky Martin Foundation.
"The courage of these children inspires me. They are gaining the knowledge and skills that they need to develop their own their families, communities and societies when they reach adulthood," he said.
