Summit’s third Twilight film, Eclipse, adds Latin flavor to the cast with the addition of Colombian actress Catalina Sandino Moreno, who will play the role of Maria. Catalina, best known for her Academy Award Nominated role in Maria Full of Grace, will star as a vampire who is described in Stephenie Meyer's book as a petite brunette with a soft voice who tries to create a newborn army of vampires, recruiting the Confederate soldier Jasper to her cause.

Moreno will join the rest of the cast—including Robert Pattison, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Jack Huston, Xavier Samuel and Bryce Dallas— when Eclipse begins shooting in Vancouver next week. The film is directed by David Slade.
