During Power Ranger's second act, there's a scene in which the heroes learn that Yellow Ranger Trini (played by Becky G) is coming to terms with her sexual identity. One character assumes she's having "boyfriend problems," and soon realizes that perhaps she's actually having "girlfriend problems." As Alpha would say, Ay ay, ay, ay, ay! It's a small moment, but one the director calls "pivotal" for the entire film. It's about time we see the reflection of society in films and we're glad it's manifesting in this childhood favorite.
