Sneak Peek: America Ferrera in How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer

If 2003's Real Women Have Curves left you hungry for more funny, touching multi-generational Latino films, get ready for How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer. Also starring golden girl America Ferrera, Garcia Girls is about three generations of Mexican women--abuelita Dona Genoveva (Lucy Gallardo), mamá Rosa (Elizabeth Peña) and hija Blanca (Ferrera)--who, over the course of a scorching hot Arizona summer, discover (or rediscover) their sexuality.

Garcia Girls is the debut feature from writer/director Georgina Garcia Riedel, and if early reviews are any indication, she's a brave new talent in Latino cinema to keep an eye on. The Hollywood Reporter gave Garcia Girls a glowing review, calling it "amusing, touching and thoroughly enjoyable."
How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer comes out in theaters on May 25, but we've got an exclusive sneak peek of the film, right here on Check it out and let us know, are you excited to meet the Garcia Girls?
