It was only a matter of time until Cardi B surprised us with another smash hit.
And while you might be wondering, "What can possibly top the former Love & Hip-Hop star's breakout song 'Bodak Yellow?'' The answer is: a Spanish version - duh!
The Bronx beauty, who has been celebrating the success of her new song - which currently holds the number 3 spot on the Billboard Top 100 - was inspired to create “Latin Trap Remix" because of her Dominican side. The rapper, who is half Trinidadian and half Dominican, shared the exciting news on Instagram “A lot of my family members on my dad side of the family don’t understand English. I wanted to make them proud. Sooooo I did BODAK YELLOW IN SPANISH,” the 24-year-old wrote, alongside a preview of the song in Spanish.
The remix features Dominican rapper Messiah, another New York native. The singers hinted at a possible collaboration back in August when they posted a picture sitting side-by-side with the caption, "They not ready." The brunette belleza also teased the Spanish-language remix during New York's annual Dominican Day Parade, where she was spotted dancing to the song on La Mega 97.9’s float.
