David Bisbal is a busy man. Besides launching a national tour in the U.S. earlier this month, the Spanish singer is also a judge on La Voz, the Spanish-language version of the NBC hit singing competition, The Voice.
The 33-year-old Grammy-winning star knows firsthand the success that a reality show can grant since becoming runner up on the TVE’s Operación Triunfo. Since then, he has sold over 5 million albums throughout Europe and Latin America.
The pop star, known for his expressions and hard-hitting commentary on La Voz, has some advice for new judge Shakira. “My advice to her is to be herself,” he tells us exclusively. “She should be clear about her decisions and try to help the contestants. I doubt she will have a problem with being generous to her team and everyone in general.”
When it comes to preparing for his U.S. tour, Bisbal admits that he loves touring live more than anything. “I look forward to that energy on stage and I hope that my fans love it too,” he expressed.
His new album, Live at the Royal Albert Hall, drops on March 12. Check out his tour dates here.
