Demi Lovato Will Release New Album This Year

1. Good new Lovatics! Demi Lovato has announced the release of a new album this year. The news comes days after the former Disney star premiered a music video for collaboration with Cheat Codes, "No Promises." Lovato, who is currently working on a Youtube documentary, told Billborad she is also working on new music. “I'm releasing an album later this year, so my fans can look forward to that. It's more soulful and I want to go more R&B with it," the “Confident” reveleaed. (Entertainment Tonight)

2. On Wednesday, a jury acquitted Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby in the shooting death of Terence Crutcher. Back in September, the Oklahoma officer had been changed with manslaughter for shooting an unarmed Crutcher, during an encounter when his SUV was stalled (NBC News)

3. Dugger sisters Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy are suing police officials and In Touch Magazine for releasing documents revealing brother Josh Dugger's molestation scandal. (TMZ)

4. On Thursday, medical examiners ruled Chris Cornell’s death a suicide. Although a full autopsy is still pending, the office of the Wayne County Medical Examiner determined the cause of the Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman's death was suicide by hanging. (NPR)
