Demi Lovato will bring her big voice back to the stage at the Do Something Awards, which will air Thursday, August 18 on VH1 and are being hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch. Lovato will perform her latest hit single, “Skyscraper.” The singer is nominated for two awards, Do Something Charity Song and Do Something TV Star. This will be her first performance since her stint in rehab for emotional and physical issues.
“We are so psyched to have Demi's first public performance, a hot breakout band like Foster the People, and expect OneRepublic with B.o.B to be very loud!” Nancy Lublin, CEO and Chief Old Person of DoSomething.org said in a statement.
Some big celebrities are nominated as well; Lady Gaga, Scarlett Johansson, Russell Brand, Justin Bieber, and Prince William and Dutchess Catherine are among the nominees in a number of different categories.
The organization and show aim to honor the “nation's best young world-changers who represent the pivotal 'do-ers' in their field, cause or issue.” One lucky ‘do-er’ will win $100,000 for their philanthropic cause.
