Enrique Iglesias has hit a major milestone honoring his music videos.
The singer is the first Hispanic artist to reach the critical milestone of reaching over one billion views on YouTube. Iglesias’s hit song “Bailando” is credited for allowing him to break the record. Released in 2014, the song features Cuban singers Descember Bueno and reggaeton band Gente de Zona.
Fox News Latino reports that the hit single is the only Spanish song to join the Billion Views Club, which is one of the most prestigious circles in the world of music.
This record also means that Iglesias’s video is the most-watched in the Spanish language ever to be posted on YouTube. However, Iglesias isn’t the only Latino to break records on YouTube. In 2014, Shakira’s World Cup song “La, La, La (Brazil 2014)” surpassed the 200 million mark.
Iglesias was also recently nominated for favorite Latin artist at this year’s American Music Awards, set to take place on November 22.
