New year, new music for Selena Gomez.
The singer has been teasing her #Selenators for a while with some possibly new tunes, but we finally have the confirmation we've been waiting for. Fans revealed that Gomez and her team have regisitered for a song called "It Ain't Me" with ASCAP earlier this week, as seen in this tweet.
Of course, the Mexican-American's new track, which has yet to get a definitive release date, has some unusual ties to ex Justin Bieber. The new song is reportedly co-written by the names behind Bieber's hit "Let Me Love You" — Kygo, Brian Lee, Ali Tamposi, and Andrew Watt.
In the teaser, the Pantene spokeswoman sings: "I had a dream/ We were back to 17/ Summer nights and libertines/ Never growing up." Between these cryptic lyrics and the music producer connection, there's no denying that the new track has at least a little to do with her ex flame Biebz.
Stil, Gomez has been spotted numerous times with The Weeknd. Most recently, the pair jetted off to Florence, Italy for a getaway weekend, where they were seen walking arm-in-arm and enjoying one another's company. And she even accompanied the singer to a special visit to meet his manager's new baby.
A short snippet of SelGo's new song was released on Twitter. Have a listen below:
