Victoria Justice has a new jam! This week, the 20-year-old singer/actress dropped her first post-Victorious single “Gold,” which we think has potential to be the next “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen.
By that, we mean the type of infectious tune that gets stuck in your head.
In the airy joint, Justice sings of a crush that she’s developed on a longtime friend. She can’t ignore butterflies in her stomach and is “sick and tired of playing games.”
As expected, Justice’s fans have flocked to comment on the song on her SoundCloud page; one described it as the “perfect summer song!” and another said “this is great <3.”
On Twitter, her fans expressed their enthusiasm by creating a hash tag titled #BuyGoldByVictoriaJustice. Who needs a publicist to push your music forward when you have fans as loyal as Justice’s? Serious question.
In an interview with Billboard, Justice spoke about her first proper solo album.
