New parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have dropped a cool million on a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in New York City's trendy Bowery district, Page Six reports. The move to the Big Apple all but confirms that Nicole has accepted the
offer to play Roxie Hart in the hit Broadway musical Chicago. According to Madden's publicist, the couple plan to make the digs their primary home. Nicole's new 1,000 square-foot 11th-floor pad "is very simple, nothing high-design," the building's senior agent Shelley O'Keefe for Corcoran Group Marketing says. "It's low-key and was sold unrenovated." Wow, sounds pretty unfussy for a girl who grew up on one of the largest estates in Bel-Air.
