Victor Ortiz’s moves are not limited to boxing. During last night’s Dancing With The Stars premiere, the 26-year-old busted out the foxtrot with pro partner Lindsay Arnold.
Ortiz, a former WBC welterweight champ, joins the ABC show’s season 16 alongside other celebs like funny man D.L. Hughley, country singer Wynonna Judd, and even Bella Thorne’s TV and real-life bestie Zendaya Coleman (who wowed the judges at only 16). Though they did their best, Ortiz and Arnold only garnered 18/30 points (6,6,6) for their dance.
Before the premiere, Ortiz and Arnold found out they were dancing the foxtrot by slipping the dance term out of an envelope.
“I saw a video of this…. on YouTube,” Ortiz told Arnold when he pulled out the card with their fate printed on it.
“He’s been doing so great, Arnold said about her handsome partner in a sit-down interview for the show. “I can already tell that he’s a really, really, really hard worker.”
We can’t wait to see Ortiz’s moves develop this season. Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c. Check out the boxer's elegant foxtrot below:
