It was a tense elimination episode on last night’s American Idol. The show started switching up their tactic for revelations and slowly revealed the top three contestants who included, Candice Glover, Angie Miller, and Kree Harrison. Each of the powerhouse singers had their moment and Harrison was even granted a key for her hometown in Texas (sweet, but pretty random if you ask us).
Devin Velez was the first out of the Latino contestants to experience Ryan Seacrest’s wrath. The host revealed that the Puerto Rican singer received the majority of the vote from the island. That Puerto Rican pride was just the thing that saved him after a so-so performance on Wednesday night. Especially since he was at the bottom top with Curtis Finch Jr., who was sent home instead of Velez.
Lazaro Arbos ended up beating Angie for votes in their hometown of Florida. Despite that, Angie was still able to nab the top spot, but the Cuban singer isn’t too far behind. He landed in the top 4, which was a bit surprising considering the mixed reviews he received from the judges the night before.
Will a Latino win Idol this season? Yes, it’s still possible! What did you think about last night’s episode?
