It pays to believe in aliens! Falling Skies, TNT’s Steven Spielberg produced alien-invasion drama — which stars Mexican actress, Seychelle Gabriel — invaded TV in a major way Sunday night, conquering earthlings on all other cable networks.
According to TVLine.com, the show's two-hour premiere averaged 5.9 million total viewers Sunday night, making it the No. 1 cable series premiere of the year-to-date! It also ranks as the most-watched debut of any scripted cable series since TNT’s own Rizzoli & Isles (which wooed 7.6 million viewers last July). It also beat Covert Affairs (4.9 mil) and The Walking Dead (5.3 mil).
Seychelle Gabriel, who plays a pre-med student names Lourdes on the show, told Latina.com exclusively how thrilled she is about the show's huge numbers. "I'm so excited to be a part of Falling Skies, and to see people enjoying what we've been working on for almost two years," she said. "The fact that I get to represent part of my heritage within this amazing group of characters makes me that much more proud!"
