While the spotlight shined brightly on his career, Miguel struggled with personal tragedies--from the mysterious disappearance of his mother to the painful estrangement from his father and manager, Luis Rey. Through it all, Luis Miguel never gave up his one true love: music.

Boneta will be joined on the small screen by an all-star cast including Oscar Jaenada (Cantinflas, The Losers) as his father Luis Rey, Paulina Davila (3 Idiotas) as his first girlfriend and Juan Pablo Zurita as his brother Alex. Camila Sodi, niece of Mexican superstar Thalia, has also been cast in a role only described as "his greatest love." It is rumored that she will portray novela actress Aracely Arambula, the mother of his two sons Miguel and Daniel.
