Deadline reports that the untitled project will be a "modern Romeo & Juliet tale set against the backdrop of Los Angeles' new Latino wealth in the music and radio industry."

The drama, which will be written and produced by FOX's Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman, is the network's second recent attempt at creating a successful Latino-inspired show. Urban Cowboy flopped after the pilot stage, Fox News Latino reports.

The story of Romeo & Juliet has been told and retold countless times. In 2013, part-Spanish actor Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld starred in an adaptation of the tragic love story.
