Louis C.K. Wins Emmy!

Funny man Louis C.K. received an Emmy for his HBO special, Louis C.K.: Oh My God, during the 65th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony which took place on Sunday at Los Angeles Nokia Theater, reports NBC Latino.

The Mexican American actor wasn't present to formally accept his award, but was later mentioned by fellow FX Louie actress, Melissa Leo, when she received the Creative Arts Emmy for "Guest Actress in a Comedy."

"It was a step to take, and Louis [C.K.] was right there by my side," Leo told The Hollywood Reporter backstage after her win.

C.K. is also up for two Primetime Emmy Awards: "Lead Actor in a Comedy Series" and "Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series."

The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air on September 22 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS!
