Natalie Morales Celebrates 'Today' Show's 60th Birthday!

NBC’s Today, the number one morning news show in the country, celebrated its 60th birthday today! Brazilian and Puerto Rican news anchor and our resident columnist, Natalie Morales celebrated the big event alongside co-hosts Matt Lauder and Ann Curry. In addition, other legendary hosts stopped by to celebrate including, Barbara Walters and Tom Brokaw. Tom Hanks also joined the party by bringing in a large birthday cake for the special occasion.

Morales recently Tweeted, “We did have a blast. Hopefully we won’t have to wait another 10 years to party like that.” The 39-year-old mother of two began her tenure on the Today show in 2006 as a national correspondent and has covered a wide-range of stories including, the 2010 Chilean miner rescue, the 2009 presidential inauguration, and recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Cheers to a job well done!
