Ricky Martin's upcoming TV appearance is putting him back on the "Livin' La Vida Loca" map.
The father-of-two has been added to the cast of FX's limited series, Versace: American Crime Story, alongside Penelope Cruz and Edgar Ramirez. Martin is set to play Antonio D'Amico, Versace's longtime partner. Ramirez will take on the role of Versace, while Cruz will play Donatella Versace in the 10-episode series, Deadline reports. The show will tell the story of the 1997 assassination of Gianni Versace, which happened on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by supposed serial killer Andrew Cunanan, who will be played by Darren Criss.
Executive producer Ryan Murphy tapped Martin for the role, but this isn't the first time he's chosen the 45-year-old star to appear in one of his shows. The Puerto Rican hottie appeared on an episode of Glee, where he played a night-school Spanish teacher in the show's third season. Aside from that, Martin has appeared on the small screen several times, including for Spanish-language shows Pasapalabra and Feroz.
The show comes as the second installment of the franchise, following Katrina: American Crime Story. Production for the show will begin later this month in L.A. and Miami. The show is set to premiere in 2018.
