Exclusive Video: Teresa and James Kiss in New 'Queen of the South' Promo

USA

It's been nearly eight months since we've known anything about our favorite guilty pleasure summer series "Queen of the South," but that's all about to change. We have an exclusive promo to share with Latina.com readers ahead of its official airing during tonight's WWE Raw.

In season three, Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga) strikes out on her own, determined to build a new empire for herself. But as enemies old and new close in, she realizes that being Queen will require more work -- and more sacrifice -- than she ever imagined.

In true "Queen of the South" fashion, the clip begins with what looks like a glimpse into Teresa's future. The cameras zoom into Teresa, who is sipping expensive champagne while relaxing on an even more expensive yacht. As she gives her back to the camera a voiceover says, "Strong women need no one but themselves to rule."

This message will surely be of extreme importance to both Teresa and Camila (Veronica Falcon), although the former seems to not be so alone as she finally locks lips with James (Peter Gadiot). Sorry #teamguero, but it looks like Teresa is finally giving into their intense sexual attraction and are ready to explore a real partnership. Or she could simply be using him to get to Camila, who up until the season 2 finale was still his boss?

Speaking of "Queens" reigning monarch Camila, she also has a man by her side, Coronel Cortez (Yancy Arias). He seems to be stopping at nothing to rule the roost after the death of her husband Epifanio (Joaquim de Almeida). Cortez has proven he cannot be trusted and with her young and vulnerable daughter Isabela (Sandy Valles) reeling from the loss of her father, it's only a matter of time before he brings her over to the dark side.

Camila says it all in the promo voiceover, "You never know who to trust." And she should know since Teresa has evolved throughout the first two seasons as first, her prisoner, then her business associate and now her biggest enemy.

No matter what happens, one thing is for sure, executive producer and showrunner Natalie Chaidez and her talented team of writers have an action-packed season ready to be unleashed on June 21.
