Alice + Olivia Presents "Enchanted Elegance" for Fall 2014

Alice + Olivia’s FW '14 collection was an enchanted forest to say the least. Set in the McKittrick Hotel, where “Sleep No More” takes place, you were guided down candlelit hallways before entering Stacey Bendet’s Mid-Winter Night’s Dream. Dresses with brocade, beading, and lace greeted you everywhere you turned, a few serious coats, and then there was THIS:

Of course there’s a sleeping Snow White in a glass case at the a+o presentation. Plus, the black and gold dotted nail was obviously the only way to go with the clothes, hair, and makeup. The genius that is Miss Pop created the look for the presentation, saying: "Apply one coat of Essie’s first base base coat followed by two coats of 'Licorice.' To create the gold dots, dip a bobby pin in 'Good as Gold' and apply a medium-sized dot at the center tip of each nail and two small dots on each side. At the base, apply a medium-sized dot at the center edge of the nail and five smaller dots surrounding it. Finish with 'Good to Go.’

As for that hair and makeup…it was just as over-the-top. Stila lead makeup artist Sarah Lucero used ‘Stay All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss’ in Merlot for those lacquered lips and ‘Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner’ in Black for high-impact cat eyes. While TRESemmé Global Stylist Matthew Curtis back-brushed (and combed) the models’ curls for mega volume using 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray and Two Freeze Hold Hairspray to finish the look.
