Last night brought to our attention a fashion trend we cannot wait to try. Both Jessica Alba and La La Vazquez showed up to their events looking glamorous in black and gold dresses. Alba arrived at the Machete premiere in Los Angeles in Balmain's zig-zag striped mini dress and black strappy Christian Louboutin sandals. At the Los Angeles Confidential Magazine's Fall Fashion issue celebration in West Hollywood, Vazquez showed off her hard work at the gym in a black and gold body-hugging mini dress with black pumps.

After 30 years of creating elegant, unforgettable pieces, Venezuelan-born designer Carolina Herrera receives the distinguished “Mercedes-Benz Presents” title for this season’s spring/summer 2011 collection.

"I am very proud to be chosen as the ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ designer," Herrera said in a press statement.  "To be recognized in such an important year in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week history, is, without question, a wonderful honor."
