Demi Lovato can now add designing to her long list of accomplishments.
The former Disney Channel star is teaming up with Fabletics to create a sports line inspired by the singer's mission and music. The limited edition collection with the first collaboration for the activewear label, co-created by Kate Hudson. Of course, it wouldn’t be a genuine Demi collection without giving back. The “Confident” singer, who has done a lot of philanthropic work in the past, will use the collaboration to support the Girl Up campaign. A portion of the proceeds from the capsule collection will directly support SchoolCycle, which gives girls bicycles, spare parts, and maintenance training in partnership with UNFPA. The program is designed to help provide young girls in developing countries with a mode of transportation, as well as ensure they have the tools for a better future.
Hudson, who founded the activewear line in 2013, says she immediately impressed by the Mexican-American singer when the two ran into each other at the gym. “Demi embodies so many elements of the Fabletics brand in such a unique way; she’s a definitive voice for female empowerment and body positivity – especially for the younger generation – which is something we believe in very strongly at Fabletics,” the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star said.

Lovato, who has been a big advocate of body positivity and women empowerment, wanted to create a collection that was reflective of her work. “When I was approached by Kate to do a collaboration for Fabletics, I couldn’t have been more excited. I am thrilled to lend my voice to such a powerful brand and organization, both of which represent many of the values I stand for -- particularly the importance of empowering girls," the "Skyscraper" singer explained. "Being involved in the creative design process while being able to have a daily impact on young girls’ lives around the world is so rewarding to me, making this initiative very dear to my heart."
The Demi Lovato for Fabletics collection, which will be available sizes XXS through 3X, include fun printed leggings and tops, as well as some work out bras and jackets for the everyday woman. The collaboration will launch this month on Fabletics.com and in-stores nationwide
